Colombian Materials and Minerals Society is created at Medellin by Prof Colorado and others. Prof JM Velez is elected President. Prof HA Colorado is elected Vice-President. Prof C. Ossa is elected Secretary, and Prof LM Ocampo is elected treasurer.
